Mentors are guides who help you grow and ideally share their mistakes in hopes that mentees can make better choices. When you have a partnership in a business you are giving up parts of what makes you YOU. Partners can provide insight, but they are also taking a piece of you. Partners have invested interest in you because they are looking for an exchange. Wanting a partner means that you are in search for support and a sturdy foundation.
Instead of looking for a partner, find a circle of influence. Anyone can be an entrepreneur, but what sets one ahead of others is the mentors that they have in their corner. Create a well mix of mentors in your circle in many different facets (e.g. business, spiritual, and community) that can help you gain the confidence and wisdom to thrive.
Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances. Proverbs 11:14
