What are you thankful for? Well isn’t that a loaded question? We come to you with a heart full of gratitude. This has been a year like no other. We have enjoyed some highs and some lows. Not only have we all lived through a worldwide pandemic but we have survived some major health issues in our family as well.
At the start of 2020 we received two great honors. First, Wilco Printing and Signs was the feature cover story for the Jackson County Chambering Magazine where we were able to tell our story of how Wilco got started and how much we have grow as the community around us continues to grown. Next, we were so honored to receive the Small Business of the Year Award for the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce. Both of these honors were unexpected but so appreciated.
Then the roller coaster ride really started. Near the end of January, Kathy developed a serious infection on a toe on her left foot that became so aggressive that she had to have a partial amputation of that toe. It has taken some time to completely heal but we are happy to report that she is doing well and has now named her shortened toe “Bump”. Then six short months ago Kevin suffered a major heart attack and had open heart surgery with five bypasses. It was one of the hardest times of our marriage because it all happened during Covid-19 and Kathy was unable to be with Kevin at the hospital and had to wait for daily updates via the phone from his awesome healthcare staff. But God! Then just four weeks later he was released from his surgeon to come back to work full time at Wilco. What an amazing recovery and we give all the honor, glory and praise to our heavenly father for being with him every step of this journey and bringing him back to good health.
And in closing, please allow us to express how very thankful we are for all of you, our faithful customers for continuing to trust us with your printing, signs, apparel and promotional products needs. In a season when so many small businesses are struggling, we continue to move forward despite the pandemic, the shut downs, our health crisis’s and other issues that were beyond our control.
So, let me ask you again, what are you thankful for?
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4 (NLT)
We continue to grow stronger in our faith as we give our all to the Lord. If God is for us who can be against us?
Straight Outta Braselton,
Your Wilco Family
